Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
You will be picked up early from Nairobi and drive southeast through the Athi plains and past the scenic Chyulu Hills. Arrive at Tsavo West National Park by midday and check in at your lodge or camp.
After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive through the park’s rugged wilderness. Tsavo West is home to elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes, and an abundance of birdlife.
Visit the famous Mzima Springs, a crystal-clear oasis where hippos and crocodiles can be viewed from an underwater observatory.
