Tsavo East is one of the national parks of Kenya that is well known for its unique safari experience. It has been one of the oldest parks of Kenya, since it was found in 1948. There is another side to this park which is known as the Tsavo West, the reason why it was divided into east and west was because of a railway passing between these two sides. Also, it is well known as the largest park of Kenya as it covers thousands of kilometers of land and has almost four gates.

It is home to large herds of Elephants, red from the laterite soil. Over 500 species of birds are found here. Tsavo gives you the real African safari feeling.  This park, one of the world’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries, is noted for its vast elephant herds and a vast variety of games including Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and plain game of almost every kind.

1 Day Tsavo East Safari-Depart from your Mombasa hotel early in the morning and drive along the Mombasa – Nairobi road to the first gate of Tsavo East national park. Enter the park via the Bachuma gate and embark on your first game viewing in search of Elephants, ‘Man eaters’ of Tsavo, Buffalos, Cheetah, Giraffe, Antelopes etc. Visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of game can be found especially during the dry season. Later proceed to Voi safari lodge / lion hill restaurant for lunch.

After Lunch, another game drive through the Vast Tsavo East National Park Plains. Have a chance to see the ‘Big Five’ – (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo & Rhino) of Africa in this 1 day Safari. There are numerous numbers of small and big game and different bird species that can be seen while on this Tsavo East Safari. Later drive out of the park and proceed back to Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon.
